General Information on Data Processing
We process personal data only insofar as necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of personal data is generally based on the following legal bases:
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR: consent,
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures,
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: legitimate interests.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies. When visiting our website for the first time, a cookie banner appears that allows users to accept or reject all non-essential cookies. The cookie settings can be changed at any time via the "Manage Cookies" link in the footer. If the user rejects cookies, no analytics or marketing functions (such as embedded maps) will be activated.
We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. IP anonymization is enabled, so that Google shortens users’ IP addresses within the EU before transmission to the USA. The processing is based on user consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the protection of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Data collected may include pages viewed, time spent, browser/device information and referrer URLs. You can find further information on Google Analytics settings and data retention on Google’s official support site (note: content may change): https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196
In addition to Google Analytics, we may use pseudonymized usage data (e.g., aggregated page views, time spent on site, navigation patterns) to evaluate and improve the functionality and user experience of our website. These evaluations do not allow conclusions to be drawn about specific individuals. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), provided no conflicting user rights prevail.
Google Maps Integration
We use Google Maps on our Contact page to visually present our company locations. Google Maps will only be loaded and data transmitted to Google if the user has actively accepted cookies via our consent banner.
The service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When enabled, your IP address and device data may be transmitted to Google servers in the USA. This processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google uses the data to deliver and improve the Maps functionality, and may combine it with other data for profiling purposes.
Google applies Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for data transfers to the USA. You can read more about the Google Maps API and its terms of use at: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/terms. These are provided for additional information and may change without notice. Please consult them directly for current details.
Hosting and Server Logs
Our website is hosted by Framer B.V., a company based in the Netherlands. When accessing our website, the following data may be stored in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and hostname. These data are processed based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for technical administration and security purposes.
Job Applications via Website
If you submit an application via our website, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, social media links, portfolio URLs) and any documents you upload (e.g. CV, portfolio) for the purpose of processing your application. Use of the application form requires separate user consent if cookies were initially rejected.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data will be stored for the duration of the application process and deleted no later than 6 months after the decision, unless statutory retention periods apply or you have consented to longer storage. Internally, data may be stored temporarily using secure tools (e.g. Ninox).
Communication via Email
If you contact us via the email links provided on the website, your message and any personal data submitted will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, depending on the content of the inquiry. We delete these data once storage is no longer necessary.
Data Subject Rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can contact us at any time with regard to your rights at: privacy@wrco.co. If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Data Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Despite these measures, internet-based data transmissions may have security gaps.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy to ensure compliance with legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services.
